Prof. Shanthu Shantharam from the Seed Science Center, Biosafety Institute for the Genetically Modified Agricultural Products (BIGMAP), Iowa State University, visited CSTEP to deliver a talk on “Conflicting Biotechnology Regulatory Policies: Comparative Analysis of the US and the Indian System”.
As a part of outreach and dissemination activities under the FOWIND project, CSTEP organised a Stakeholder Sensitisation Workshop in Chennai on Offshore Wind Development in India.
CSTEP organised a two day Conference on Climate Change Vulnerability and Adaptation in Bangalore, which drew participation from Indian, Nepali and Pakistani experts in the Climate Change Adaptation domain.
CSTEP, in collaboration with the Planning Commission, organised a workshop on ‘Energy Secure Outlook for India: IESS 2047’ at the Capitol Hotel, Bangalore. The workshop was aimed at presenting the India Energy Security Scenarios 2047 (IESS 2047) tool to policy makers, university students and industry representatives.
The results of CSTEPs study on scaling up current manufacturing capabilities of the Indian solar industry, both Photovoltaic (PV) and Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) and the challenges involved in it were presented to various industry stakeholders in a workshop organised by CSTEP in Bangalore.
